For Father’s Day I took Bentley out to take pictures of him. We made sure we had “Dad's team” on Bentley’s shirt. Then we made a collage of them, framed it and that was Ben’s present. Bentley was so good for me. The end of the shoot is funny because he’s definitely losing interest. His faces crack me up! I love them all. Now we have 4 year pictures of him!

Give a Little Whistle!

DSC_0006

DSC_0017

Last night we were outside playing and blowing bubbles and Bentley learned to whistle by blowing bubbles! I said, “Bentley your whistling!” He was so proud. He loves the song Give a Little Whistle on Pinnochio so he loves that he can whistle like Jiminy! I told him to lick his lips a little and that helped even more. Still love these firsts moments.

~Bentley's 4th Birthday Party~

The three of us. Wow Bentley's almost half my size!

I made him a cupcake baseball cake. It was really easy and I loved how it turned out.

He wanted a Colorado Rockies party. We served hot dogs, chips and peanuts. I meant to have his party at the park, but the weather was awful. It was snowy and cold. The next weekend it was in the 80's! It worked out perfect at my friend Desiree's house.

This was a semi warm half hour. We let the kid's burn off some energy. They were chasing a football (not baseball) the Dad's were throwing.

He was having a blast!

We invited Bentley's class. Every time one of his friend's came he would give them a big hug. So fun for him. I'm so glad he's made such good friend's. Preschool is the best!

He cracks me up.

The pinata was a hit. The kid's just loved to whack it over and over.

Making their own party bags. Anything to make it easier!

Happy Birthday to you Bentley!

He opened lot's of great presents. He gave hugs after every present he opened. He's so sweet sometimes.

It turned out perfect except the change of location. I love giving him birthday parties. He so worth celebrating every year!

Bentley giving Uncle Tom a hug good bye.

Happy 4th Birthday Bentley!

Wow we made it to four! He has changed and grown so much in 4 years. He really is the greatest little boy and we couldn't ask for more. You amaze us everyday. We love you Bentley and are forever grateful that your ours!

A few great things about Bentley:

  • He can write his name, letters and numbers so great!

  • He still loves baby dolls, so sweet.

  • He swings all by himself.

  • His feet are size 12 and extra wide!

  • He can rhyme any words!

  • His new favorite toy is a whoopie cushion. He could sit on that all night and laugh and laugh!

  • He loves to sing Sugarland's "Stuck Like Glue."

  • Doughnuts are his forever favorite treat.

So many things to remember. Love him!

~Grandma's Funeral in San Luis Obispo~

Uncle Steve, Mom, Aunt Mary and Uncle Tom. Uncle Steve is holding Grandma's Urn.

Mom was presented with the American Flag for Grandma. It was very special.

It was a really beautiful funeral and my Uncle's told some cute stories about Grandma.

After the funeral we all went to Avila Beach to scatter some of Grandma's ashes and enjoy the ocean.

Our extended family! Loved being with everybody!

Of course I loved being with My Mom, Mike, Irene, Naomi and Diego!
We all need to come back soon!!

This is our cousin Kyle. Diego loved him!

MuD!

Today at Desiree's we had just brought the kids home from school and of course they wanted to play. We gave them a hose and let them have at it. They made mud, and then had a very good sensory lesson with the mud. Bentley loved it! He could've squished it through his fingers for hours. So we had fun with MuD today!

We LoVe OuR zOo!

Bentley loves to ride the carousel at the Zoo. For 2 bucks it brings him lots of joy! I'm so happy and grateful to have such special time with just him! Its hard being me!

DiSnEy on Ice!

Bentley and I had a little date night at Disney on Ice! At the last minute I found us great tickets for a really good price! We had awesome seats and it was so much fun! They told all of the Classic Princess stories. Bentley loved the Genie, the Beast and Ursula. I loved it all! The big bangs and fireworks made Bentley jump( he gets that from me)! We had a really fun night and the next day we were off to Utah!

CoUsIn FuN in Utah!

For Bentley's Spring Break we went to Utah! It was perfect timing because Heidi, Brandon and Maddox were passing through on their way to Iowa. Thank you Elisa for making us feel at home while staying with you! We returned home sick but it was all worth it. Bentley and I have traveling alone DOWN! He is an expert at car rides. Bentley loves, loves, loves his cousins! Love to you all!
