My little munchkin butt is now 2 yrs old! He is such a sweetheart and is so smart but as you can see tantrums are not a new thing. Love it though!

We're taking him to dinner and then we'll do cake with the 3 of us! Happy Birthday Bentley!

Yesterday Daddy brought home an early birthday present for Bentley. Bentley couldn't wait for him to put it together.

Soooo sad we had to pull him out to finish putting it together and he did not like that at all. Next time we'll put it together first.

He seriously has the saddest face ever when he cries.

All better! We finished and he loves it!

I have to say it was the best lighting last night. Thanks Little Tikes for making such a hit of a toy!

Its a Brand New Day!

Yesterday I was talking to Heidi and I was telling her all of my frustrations about motherhood. I've just been overwhelmed with my busy body of a child. My main concern was getting ready in the morning. It seems almost impossible to shower, apply make-up, dry my hair and then yes fix my hair. He'll only watch a show for so long and then he's right in the bathroom with me reaking havoc. So getting ready takes 10 times longer. So here were my choices just don't get ready, get ready like I've been doing and give myself anxiety, or get up at 6:30 am and get all ready before he's even up. So that's what I did. I went to bed by 10:30 last night got up at 6:30, got ready down to my shoes, made the bed and was totally ready for the day by 7:20. Bentley woke up by 7:30 perfect timing. Its 9:30 and we've had breakfast, done the dishes, and Bentley's running around outside while I'm writing this blog. Yes I'm outside and its sunny I can hear the birds all around and I couldn't have had a better morning. Another good part if someone rings my doorbell, I don't have to hide because I'm in my robe. Well I'm going to get going now and put on some laundry because a load a day keeps chaos away! Hope you all are having a wonderful day, here's to new habits.

The New Kid on the Block~ Corbin Scott 3-09-09

Isn't he a doll? My really close friend Elisa finally had her little boy! Congratulations!

He weighed in at 7lbs 1oz and 20 inches long. Totally perfect and healthy!

Mommy Elisa is feeling good and her Mom is in town for a couple of weeks to help. She will be so helpful for her.

Elisa let me know if I can help with anything!

A Very Berry Lipstick Smoothie

I love to feed Bentley healthy and I try all the time to make sure he's getting all the nutrition he needs.

He's a very good sport at eating pretty much anything I make for him. This morning I made a yummy berry smoothie that he loved.

A Very Berry Smoothie Recipe:

• 1 Cup Mixed Berries ( I buy the big bag of Rader Farms 3 berry mix at Costco).
• 1/2 Cup Plain or Vanilla yogurt, try to stay away from added sugar and corn syrup. Check the ingredients! Dannon Light and Fit Vanilla is really good. Or Dannon Natural Plain Yogurt is good with a little Xylitol (a sweetner that prevents cavities). You can find it at your health food stores.
• 1Cup 100% Orange Juice.
• 1 Banana. I only had half a banana today and it still tasted great.
• 2T Ground Flax Seed. The key word is ground!
• Blend and Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Heidi!

Heidi I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday! Your wonderful OLDER sister and love the friendship we have. I hope you have a wonderful day and we'll be thinking of you. Bentley was just over a month old here. I see some of Maddox in him! Make sure you give him tons of smooches from me! Love you!

A Week Ago......

So I think I've been the worst blogger in blogger history but with that said. Last Sunday we went to Logan, Ut for a dual ( men and women) bridal shower. Ed has such an awesome family and they were tons of fun to hang out with. They got some nice gifts and we ate some yummy food.

So Bentley kept trying to hold all of the babies. Yes this little guy is only 8 months. He didn't have much luck here.

He really was trying so hard for Trenton. He was getting close but I felt bad for the baby. He seriously would not leave them alone. Once he got it in his head that he wanted to hold them he was not going to stop. This is one of the reasons why we don't have a new baby yet. :)

Ed's family~ Two of his brother's and their wives and his Dad. We had a fun time hanging out hope we can do it again soon!

Naomi and Ed Married 2*05*09

Last Sunday night Naomi and Ed announced that they were getting married. 4 days later here we are! They figured if they didn't just do it they never would. Its awesome and I'm so glad they took the next step.

This was during Ed's vows. She looks so happy!

After we went to the Hilton Garden Inn and ate dinner. This was just are immediate family. Its been a while since we've all been together at the same time. We sure have grown with spouses and kids!

Maddox, Oma and Bentley. She was so cute holding both of her grandbabies. We had a real fun and busy day, but it was so awesome to be with our family. What a treat to finally meet Maddox. He kind've makes me want another!:) Naomi and Ed are so good for eachother and will have a long happy marriage. Congrat's you two!!!!

~Shoes and Tomatoes~

This morning after we got up, I think I was in the front room still waking up but then I heard this bump. When I went in the kitchen this is what I found...Bentley eating away. He loves grape tomatoes so I got him a big box from Costco and he just helps himself!:) By the way we saved all the tomatoes!

Bentley loves shoes right now. He wants to put them on all the time. He went up into my closet and put these on all by himself right feet and all. He walked all over the house in them.

The love of shoes is not just for girls right?

And this was this evening. I changed his diaper and after he insisted on putting on a pair of his shoes. So until bedtime he ran around in a diaper and boots. Cutie pie!

Bentley's other love is books. He sits right between my legs and could read books with me all day if I let him. That's good though. I hope we start good habits with him!

Bentley hasn't been sitting in his high chair for a while. He figured out how to get the lid off so food was constantly flying off his tray. I've had him sitting on phone books so old fashioned. So I finally made it to babies r us and this is what I found. It's called a kaboost and it props up the chair. There is two height levels and he doesn't technically have to sit on anything. Love it!

There was lime green or brown but the lime green was ten dollars cheaper so lime green it is.

Happy Anniversary Ben!

Five years today. Wow time has flown. Its kind've funny every anniversary we've had it hasn't been that nice out, but on Jan. 23, 2004 it was beautiful and cold as you can see. Yes I braved the weather without a coat. I love you sweetie and Happy Anniversary!

It seriously has been so nice out this week. We were getting our vitamin D today. It was nice to get out today. We haven't had alot going on lately (as you can tell by my blog), but I can't forget to take pictures of him so I won't forget this cute little guy.

He is oh so serious in all the pictures. I could not crack a smile off him. He does love Maggie (the dog) though!

~Our Christmas Eve and Day~

Ben's whole family goes to his parents to eat and have a gift exchange for Christmas Eve. We had a fun time just hanging out and visiting.

After we had brunch we were all so tired so lot's of napping went on.

Overall we had a wonderful Christmas. Can't wait to do it again next year!
